Attending a beerfest allows us to chat with the owners and brewers of many regional breweries. It's a great time to find out what new beers may be available and talk about their brewing process, recipes and ingredients. And of course we get the chance to try their great beers.

For the first time in years we attended a beerfest by ourselves. We decided not to save a table and roam around the hall. This gave us more time to speak with brewers and other friends we met at the fest. We also found that we could sample more beers by not having to return to a table. Like most years the crowd at the fest was very large, but we had enough room to wander around freely.

We always have a great time at the Beer Summit. Hopefully next year we'll get some more of our friends to join us.

The next Beer Summit will be held in April 2008.
