Danielle needed to bag Lafayette and Lincoln so we headed up on Labor Day weekend.  The weather was perfect, but there were tons of people out hiking on this day. We remembered to bring the digital camera on this trip so these pictures are much more clear.

The view toward Mt. Lincoln from the summit of Mt. Lafayette.  This was probably our best day of hiking all year.  The weather was perfect and the views were spectacular! We could clearly see Mt. Mansfield and the Camels Hump in Vermont.

Anthony and I did the loop hike from the Lafayette Campground.  Danielle was not feeling well so she stayed behind.  We made the summit of Lafayette in 3 hours.

We hiked on a very windy day which blew some clouds over the summit from time to time. Most of the clouds were surrounding Mt. Lafayette and we were able to get some nice views further down the Franconia Ridge.

The summit of Lafayette was in and out of the clouds for most of the day.

However, the weather was warm and the clouds cleared enough to offer some views.

The Greenleaf hut has a great view of the summit from its location about 3/4 of the way up the mountain.

Here's a view from Lafayette looking into the Pemigawasat wilderness.
