(Tim & Danielle - Total Distance: 1 mile from Guyot Campsite)

|
The
Bonds are some of the most remote mountains in New Hampshire. Due
to their isolation you can truly experience the wilderness for all
its worth. Mt. Bond is the highest of the three Bond peaks and has
spectacular views in every direction from its open summit. By the
time we arrived on the peak clouds began to form over the
mountains, but our luck held out and we had no rain. |

The
clouds were beginning to descend on Mt.
Washington but the peaks off to the west
were still clear. While we rested on the summit and refilled
our water bottles a couple of guys from the campground soon joined
us. We discussed the hikes we had done and where we were going.
They were also nice enough to take our picture on the summit
before we departed for Bondcliff. |
The
hike between Mt. Bond and Bondcliff is steep and rocky. The 1.3
mile distance between the two summits took us just under an hour
to complete. However, once again we were treated to some fabulous
views. |
