The hike up the Dicey Mills trail to the summit of Mt. Passaconaway wasn't the most exciting hike we've ever done. The trail was moderate with some rocky sections just past the intersection with the Rollins trail. Even at the peak we only had one spot with a view.

Just before we reached the view point I tripped on a tree root and drove my hiking staff into the ground in an attempt to balance myself. When I pulled the staff out the rubber tip was pulled off into a network of tree roots. I made an unsuccessful attempt to retrieve the tip, but wasn't able to find it. That rubber tip is still buried on the summit to this day!
