| The
summit of Galehead is completely wooded, but the trail to get
there from the hut is short and easy. We did manage to find a spot
along the way that offered a unique view of South Twin and the
Pemigewasset wilderness.
|
It
took us about an hour to go from the hut to the Galehead summit
and back. We finished so early that we decided to head up to South
Twin and see what we missed the last time we were there in the
rain.

We
had a great day hiking, but by the time we made it back to the car
we did about 13 miles and were both very tired for the long drive
home. |
