Mt. Flume

Hiked on: August 16, 2014
(Tim and Anthony - Total Distance: 10 miles)

Anthony's still working on his 4,000 footer list so the two of us did a traverse over Mt. Flume and Mt. Liberty by using the Osseo Trail, Franonia Ridge trail and Liberty Spring trail to bag the two peaks. We had cool temps and cloudy skies and lots of views. Neither of us has hiked a 4,000 footer in a couple of years, but by the end of the day we felt great and were glad to be back in the mountains.

On the way over to Mt. Flume from Mt. Liberty we found a small patch of snow. It was nice and refreshing on such a hot and humid day! Before we headed back to Mt. Liberty we looked down the Flume Slide trail and were glad we decided not to come up that way.
