- 2 Tablespoons butter
- 2 Tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 pounds mushrooms, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
- 2 teaspoons fresh thyme leaves or 1/2 teaspoon dried
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon grated nutmeg
In a large frying pan, melt butter with olive oil over medium heat. Add onion
and garlic and cook 2 to 3 minutes, or until onion is softened.
Add mushrooms to pan, increase heat to medium-high, and cook, stirring, 5 to 6
minutes, or until lightly browned around edges. Stir in parsley, thyme, salt,
pepper, and nutmeg.
