Harpoon 100 Barrel Union Street Revival Ale
Harpoon Brewery
Boston, MA

Tasting Notes
Harpoon Union Street Revival Ale

Style: Extra Special Bitter

Alcohol by volume: 6.6%

Appearance:  Clear copper color with orange and yellow hues. A few streams of fine bubbles floating up from the bottom. Frothy full bodied tan head. Dissolves to a medium bodied ring and a few spots on the surface. a good amount of lace on the glass.

Aroma: A faint malt aroma with some yeasty notes.

Taste:  Carmel malt flavor throughout. Notes of bubblegum, cherry, butter and nutmeg. Finishes slightly hoppy. A malty sweet caramel flavor is left on the palate. Mildly bitter on the back of the tongue.

Summary: An easy drinking malty beer that's well balanced. Sort of reminds me of a Boston Ale from Samuel Adams.
